Odilão Florêncio Macamo, 36 years old, has been a ranger for 13 years at Pomene National Reserve, where he has held the office of head of protection since 2014. Odilão stood out for remaining relentless in the fight to protect different species, despite all the challenges he faces. Thanks to his perseverance, Odilão stopped 10 poachers, and also deactivated 60 wire rope traps and 35 homemade ones, contributing to the reduction of poaching.
